Kernel 2.4.20-8: Problem with patching

I tried to patch the kernel as instructed in the IBM's tutorial
http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/opensource/library/l-kdbug/ and got
the following:
 
Patching file kernel/ksyms.c
Reversed (or previously applied) patch detected! Assume -R? [n]
What do I do?
