kdb on the single machine

Hi,
	I am new to kdb, and want to use it on a single machine.
	My Linux distribution is SuSE 7.1, when I press PAUSE or triggered
breakpoint, the debug information is displayed on tty10, which is not
the same screen as the one I am operating. 
	How can I display the debug information on the same screen as I am
operating? Or this is impossible and have to use kdb through serial port
mode?
