KDB Compile problems

Hi!
We downloaded the patch for the 2.2 series The exact filename being 
ftp://oss.sgi.com/www/projects/kdb/download/ix86/kdb-v0.6-2.2.13.gz

We are running a 2.2.17 kernel, however we are getting errors when we recompile after patching the kernel with the above patch

Is there a specific patch for the 2.2.17 kernel, if not is the above adequate.
Also we are a little confused after reading the README in the Modules directory wherein a mention is made of a *.c file which we havent found anywhere within the downloads, could you please clarify on this too.
