The scsi drives "page-1 mode-select" error recovery page should be set to not report recovered errors. This can be changed with any decent scsi disc utility and does not require and reformat or lost

Most if not all of them I've seen are in the bios of the scsi controller. But there is one for linux called scsiinfo. It is in this package "scsi-1.7_2.22_000630-0 ". It came with my SuSE dis. Be sur

Try scsi-config. It's better. It's from xscsi-1.7_2.22_000630-0 package. Don't forget... BE CAREFULL.....
