- Not sure what to tell you, I don't think this is a known problem. Trying to reproduce it with a vanilla kernel + xfs (cvs or the 1.3.1 release) would help narrow down where the problem lies, I think.

- I pulled a fresh one from CVS, compiled a minimalistic config, then booted it and compiled a full fledged one with all bells and whistles (smp, acpi) enabled, booted this and recompiled the whole thi
