I'm new in this mailing list :-) I have the following problem: I cannot mount an XFS partition after creation with mkfs.xfs on my ide hdd, running on a promise ultra100tx2 controller. But XFS works

I would me more suspicous of mkfs not actually doing anything, until we see output along the lines of the usual: meta-data=/dev/hda6 isize=256 agcount=8, agsize=197800 blks data = bsize=4096 blocks=

The install CD itself boots slowly? I've never seen this - the system will boot somewhat slowly after installation due to the large ramdisk, and you'll want to recompile the kernel to avoid this. Not
