- For starters, you can get the kdb patch for any of Linus' kernels from oss.sgi.com/projects/kdb, to back that out of XFS CVS (possibly with a conflict or two). Alternatively, look in the testing/Rele

- The testing release is based on a -ac series kernel and took a lot of time to patch. Normally only patches against linus kernels are made. Cheers Seth

- Which testing release are you referring to? The one in ftp://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/download/testing/RHrawhide/ ? I'll try to patch that from -ac4 to -ac17 and see what happens... Cheers Dirk

- The RedHat rawhide kernel is -ac based an Russel needed 3 hours(!) to patch XFS with this kernel. Cheers Seth

- They take a current kernel release (2.4.5) and stabilize that by backporting fixes that are inserted in CVS. Currently the CVS tree is tracking the linus -pre versions and releases. Cheers Seth
