- Sorry the rpm are not compatible with RH 7.0 yet. The best thing would be download the source tree and build from scratch.

- 2.4 kernels after about 2.4.0-test5 should not have a misc modules directory, all modules should be under /lib/modules/<version>/kernel. You probably have old data under /lib/modules. rm -rf /lib/mod

- this is not entirely true. alsa still sticks it's modules in misc. the rpms contain alsa modules. -tduffy

- I have logged a bug report with alsa. They are still using the old /lib/modules format with all the problems it causes.
