How can one tell what version of XFS they're running on their box? shouldn't the xfs* tools also have versioning number in them (ie...bottom of man file or with a --version/-v option ?) eh, i even lo

XFS isn't versioned, per se, except for the full 1.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.2 etc. releases. Everything else is just a snapshot, identifiable by the date you checked it out, or more coarsely, the kernel version
