Hi Gaspar, I would certainly be sure to use the external journal. In order to do this with our 3Ware RAID-5, take the resulting RAID (say /dev/sda) and partition it with sda1 being around 256MB. Then

Depending on your 3Ware card, try to create a RAID with 128K or 256K stripes....128K is the 'normal' blocking factor the kernel uses when combining reads and writes. Presuming you're doing mostly seq
