- Probably some mail system has converted the patch from tabs to spaces. It is only a one line change, add 'conv=notrunc' to the zdisk dd command in arch/i386/boot/Makefile. But as Russell pointed out,

- I got the nvidia rpm to work fine under the 2.4.x tree. you need to make sure that /usr/src/linux points to the kernel source tree (which it is not by default because the 2.4 kernel link is /usr/src
