xfs filesystem from linux kernel 2.6.32.16.

one of our application does the recording work. 
each time, it writes 128K data to USB hard disk(xfs format) using fwrite. 
while recording, the USB HDD is unpluged suddenly.
usually, fwrite returns immediately, but sometimes, fwrite function returns
after 3-10 seconds. we don't know why?
