Hello!
It seems, that after HBA configuration problem disappeared on one machine, but
still exists on the second. I'm not sure what's the cause :/
Is it possible that high fs fragmentation is the issue?
storage:~# xfs_db -r /dev/mapper/storage01-storage01logical
xfs_db> frag
actual 10937781, ideal 3078996, fragmentation factor 71.85%
I really don't know what to do.
I made tests with newer 2.6.30 kernel on testing machine but it ended with
problems like this:
http://oss.sgi.com/pipermail/xfs/2009-July/041837.html (I don't know if the
kernel switch was the cause, but I'd rather not to stuck with the same problem
on production server - ended with filesystem reformat :/)
Back to the main problem... Would you like me to provide metadump if this FS?
Maybe this would help.
All caches (disk cache, write cache, read cache) are disabled now and the
problem occurs once a week :/
Best regards
Tomek Kruszona
