I can't reproduce it here with kernel 2.6.28 and glibc 2.7 which is the latest
available in Debian.

Just curious:  given that errno 75 is EOVERFLOW on x86 this seems like a problem
with using 64bit offsets.  Does the problem go away when compile your
test_readdir program with -DFILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 to use 64 bit file offsets?
