Yeah root inode size looks possibly endian swizzled?

But really on a 2.4.33 kernel... there's not going to be much in the way of xfs
support for that.   You are probably going to be doomed to re-finding and (at
best) re-fixing things which have gone by long ago in the 2.6 development 
stream.
