ok. I'll try to use a spare partition with XFS, and then try to use your
suggestions to provide more details.
I have to say that there is no apparent file system error: I was not asked to
run xfs_repair on it.
I try to tell what was happening:
I was installing the system, and then I was running system update from internet.
During the installation of each packages I noticed that, 'ldconfig' (which is
run as postinstallation task for each package) was throwing an error such as:
file /lib/bla/bla/bla.so is truncated
On next reboot,I was missing files, and those libraries were broken.
THERE IS AN IMPORTANT MATTER: there is a bug in grub-install (which you may be
interested to) when it's run over a XFS filesystem and the default installation
of Ubuntu with XFS on root FS will freeze:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub/+bug/20509
I have seen the bug, and then I applied the workaround, but I think this bug
refrain people from using XFS on Ubuntu (I don't know if other distro have
different version of Grub).
Due to this, I have been unable to find internet this kind of error like I had
on my notebook.
