I've extracted your image and ran xfs_repair over it. It successfully 
repaired for me without memory issues. It's quite possible repairing an
xfs_copy'd zeroed some garbage that could have caused it to consume memory.
The only other possibility I can see is that there is something unique 
with your FC6 setup that I cannot replicate.
