OK, I did some experiments last night. FC6 Rescue CD ships with xfs_repair
version 2.8.11.

I have 768MB of ram and 768MB of swap space. FC6 Rescue CD does not enable
swap by default. After `xfs_repair /var/fedora3/system` res size of xfs_repair
grows very quickly and at about 600~620MB xfs_repair gets killed by OOM.

Option -M does not work ("no such option"), option -P does change the picture
somewhat, xfs_repair res size grows more slowly, but when it reaches ~600MB
system hangs and I didn't have a patience to wait until it's killed by OOM.

with 768MB swapon xfs_repair successfully finishes; at the end free shows about
400MB of mem swapped, res size of xfs_repair process was about ~580MB.

I collected various data, like output of `free` and `ps aux | grep xfs_` at
various stages of "repairing", all is in the attachment xfs_repair.tar.gz

I would say that what I saw is not normal. No sane repair tools need 768MB of
ram + 400MB of swap to fsck a parition of 10MB size.

Kosnatntin
