Oh let me explain in other words what i mean:

Its a /bin/true program - but the intention ( thats what i exspect the tool
should do ), is that it checks the filesystem for errors.
If its a /bin/true program it totally useless. Wouldn't it be better to provide
a fsck program that does the work of xfs_check, would it?

I think thats more that what i would exspect than being true everytime.

Doing a seperate scan with the check tool can only be done in ro mode or when
its unmounted, that the case at every boot time - so the fsck tool should do 
that.
I was suffering a big data loss ( thx to backups ) because of the 2.6.17 bug
mentioned at the docs - and i would have found this many times earlier if this
tool would have done what it exspected, instead of being true erverytime.

So maybe its not broken - but it does not what i would exspect from a fsck tool,
the tools for ext2(3) and others does the check like exspected, so for xfs i
would exspect this too.
