Nice detective work!

This piece of code is actually borrowed from the mount(8) program, so we
should probably fix it however those folks plan to (once we tell them) so
as to not diverge.

Their code is util-linux-2.12r/mount/mount_guess_fstype.c, I'll let Adrian
know about the problem & see how he wants it fixed.
