Summary: XFS File Corruption on hang or power failure.
           Product: Linux XFS
           Version: Current
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: XFS kernel code
        AssignedTo: xfs-master@xxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: root@xxxxxxxxxxxx

There seems to be some serious problem with XFS and data syncing to disc.

I have until today used XFS as the filesystem of choise on my laptop. The
problem is that if the power fails, the OS freezes up, or something along those
lines, when I reboot and XFS have restored the journal I have tons of files that
have all the correct timestamps and file sizes but the data contents are all
0x00. Null bytes.

I know this isn't really a new issue and a google gave me bug reports that are
OLD, but it can't be right, can it? I've had this problem a long time now, and I
haven't narrowed it down to be XFS's fault until now (I always have backups, so
it was no biggie).. Currently running linux 2.6.16.
