In today's issue of raid-fun: given proper paramters to xfs on top of a linux md raid6 left-asymmetric layout, a mountable, though incorrect xfs image will result when doing a mdadm --create --force -l 6 -p left- symmetric layout. The kernel claims this to be corruption of in-memory data. I beg to differ, at least on the point of which memory the corruption resides. :) /B |
