Unfortunately we don't have the time nor access to hardware to do porting
or testing work for alpha.  One of wonders of open source, of course, is
that it allows interested parties to do the work themselves.  We'd be
happy to review and incorporate patches that have been submitted by the
open source community.

Note that you can use good ol' tar and cpio, etc to do your backups. You
wont be able to backup information stored in extended attributes (eg.
ACLs) but if this isn't a problem for you, then not having xfsdump
should be more an inconvenience than a showstopper.
