I'll look into it.
Can you rerun it using the following option '-v nitty'? This will produce
_alot_ of output, so you should redirect it to a file.

It is still a work in progress, in that we are still porting features from
IRIX.
The dump format should not change, so we'd like people to use
xfsdump/xfsrestore now (or rather, as soon as we fix this bug. :)
