i hope this belong to this list (i am new). I have promise sx6000 ata raid
controller with 4x120GB. I use software raid0 and xfs with kernel
2.4.21-ac4 on a pentium 4 + abit kd7 board.
problem: when i write to xfs raid filesystem, the data is buffered into
memory (i suppose). When the buffer is full, the data is written to
disk(i suppose). But this cause (i suppose) the system to freeze. Some
people suggested me to start update daemon and try flushing buffer more
frequentlly. I am interested, if there is a solution to this problem,
since i need a machine for realtime video broadcast....
