Hi,
I've had no problem running vmware under xfs (xfs 1.0.1, 2.4.5 kernel) -
though I did have to rename /usr/src/linux-2.4.5-xfs to
/usr/src/linux-2.4.5-SGI_XFS_1.0.1 to get the modules to compile.
