At the time of the 1.0 release, 2.4.3 was current (I believe). 1.0
patches *were* released against it. The kernel RPM shipped was based on
RedHat's 2.4.2-2, since a RedHat installer was also shipped. Both of
these releases were extensively tested.
Recently, test patches have been put up for 2.4.5, and the (downloadable)
CVS tree is tracking 2.4.6pre.

Please read through the archvies and the FAQ -- this has been gone over
many times. The plan is for XFS to eventually get into the standard
kernel, and they're working on it.
