Can this be done? Say I create a new volume like this:

vgcreate testvg1 /dev/sda[1-2] /dev/sdb1

then

lvcreate -i3 -L 10240M (a 3 "disk" stripeset)

In this instance each partition is about 4gb. So, now I want to add a new
disk to the vg.

vgextend testvg1 /dev/sdb2

next I want to have more than 12gb in my current volume

lvextend -L +4096 /dev/testvg1/lvol1

This fails because my current stripelimit is 3 and that equates to about
12.5gb. Although vgdisplay shows 16gb in the vol group. So, I'm asking is
there a way to add another stripe to a stripeset, so I can not have an
unused pv in my volume group? Thanks for the info.
