Since I have tried to fix the problem for a few day, but I Couldn't . I wrote it briefly below. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.detect the problem [root@localhost mntb]# mount -t xfs /dev/hdd1 /home/lss1/lssmnt/mntd
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdd1,
or too many mounted file systems
[root@localhost mntb]#------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.the trials to rescue this disk ========================================================= Spec: Model: WDC WD1800JB-00DUA0 filesystem type: XFS capacity: 180G My system: RED HAT 9(kernel:SGI 2.4.20-09XFS) ========================================================= I'm useing this disk for backup disk. Abosolutely it contains very important files to me.
Results: /dev/hda hda2 1 255 2000M linux-swap hda1 256 9733 74348M xfs / /dev/hdb hdd1 1 21889 171703M NO filesystem(*) (*) why does the XFS partiions(hdd1) remove? it's originally used in XFS. I didn't format this one. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To rescue one. I did it like below. it doesn't work. I don't know exactly why this happens abruptly? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [root@localhost sbin]# ./xfs_repair /dev/hdd1 Phase 1 - find and verify superblock... superblock read failed, offset 0, size 524288, ag 4294967295, rval 0 fatal error -- Input/output error [root@localhost sbin]# ./xfs_repair /dev/hdd Phase 1 - find and verify superblock... superblock read failed, offset 0, size 524288, ag 4294967295, rval 0 fatal error -- Input/output error [root@localhost sbin]# ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * another ways to rescue this disk. 1.partition-rescue-mini-howto. it's not helpful. it's useless to rescue original XFS filesystem. 2.SGI FAQ and Mailing list Archives. There is also no similar case. Around Mar 2003, I have a problem to use XFS. At that time, I report the problem to the XFS team. Through a few communications with xfs team. At that time,I decided there is no bugs in XFS but,the physical harddisk. This case definitely has no problems of this physical hard disk. *is there anyway to repair the corrupted xfs filesystem even if it costs ? *do I have to format this disk? thanks....... from "yiseungsu@xxxxxxxxxxx" _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail |
