Is the cvs server login? I am unable to update xfs-linux. $ export CVSROOT=':pserver:cvs@xxxxxxxxxxx:/cvs' $ cvs login Logging in to :pserver:cvs@xxxxxxxxxxx:2401/cvs CVS password: cvs [login aborted]: connect to oss.sgi.com(192.48.159.27):2401 failed: Connection refused I am also posting this to see if it will help my problem.
