You are correct - that is what is happening in NFS - too bad this induces
other potential problems (albeit, with the current setup, it does not matter
since the exported tree is read-only and minimally changing)
The question would be - how would one do this check such that it does not
sometimes fail in the hard-link case? And, I think you are correct in saying
that it is not specificaly an XFS issue.
