Does anyone know whether this bug also pertains to cases where LVM is compiled
as a module, but isn't (actively) used?

As (some of) you know, I've strange problems with a hardware RAID and xfs
filesystems that are either shut down because of "memory corruption," or that
exhibit mysteriously "hidden" files. However, as I just wrote in the previous
paragraph, I'm NOT using LVM. The xfs partition in question is just a logical
partition with a fixed size. I simply cfdisk'ed the RAID and performed a "mkfs -
t xfs" on the logical partition. The LVM module doesn't get loaded therefore.
