Still not fast, but by my math 35GB in 16 hours is 5.3 Mb/sec.  (Were
you calculating MB/sec. ?)

Or were all of the above Mb/sec. figures meant to be MB/Sec.  They do
all seem too small for Mb/Sec. values.
