Someone on the linux-raid list thought there is/was an issue with XFS and 4K
stacks... is this true?


That could be true, esp. when you've stacked on a volume manager.

is quite a hint that this is exactly what's happening.

I'd be interested in a post of the entire stack from the do_IRQ notice.
