I'm having difficulty applying the 2.4.19 patch against 2.4.21 source. Our product offering is going to be based on 2.4.21. We would like to include XFS in our linux offering. Can you supply an XFS patch based on 2.4.21? The problem I'm having is with files that have significant changes in 2.4.21 vs 2.4.19. The 2.4.19 patch doesn't relate at all in those cases. Fetch the current CVS tree. Recerse apply the kdb patch. Diff this tree against the vanilla 2.4.21 and you basically got about the same result. The thing is though. 2.4.21 is not out yet (according to kernel.org) and I don't remember seeing anything related to security holes either which would force a new release. It is not based on a XFS release like 1.1 or the 1.2pre snapshots and thus not as well tested. Cheers -- Seth It might just be your lucky day, if you only knew. |
