The updated glibc that is available for 6.0 6.1 and 6.2 does have LFS 
patches to the extent that most stuff works.
Which you will need anyway because of a local root exploit in the old one.
It works ok for listing files, but my memory recalls that lseek may show 
weird behaviour. It does not show in the QA tests AFAIK.
