Hi, This patch alters the behaviuor of the --device option of mkbootdisk. If this option is set it will fdformat the floppy using the given device and run syslinux with the -s option. I tested this with /dev/fd0u1680 and it boots on 3 kinds of dell optiplex machines and my Dell inspiron notebook. YMMV using larger devices like /dev/fd0u1722 and the like. And make sure you use decent floppy's because they are not made for this. At least it proves the truth in my .sig --- /sbin/mkbootdisk Thu Feb 8 23:48:15 2001
