Seth: every kind of process may hang. From 'sync' to 'netscape', 'rm' etc.
If you get an advice: do not upgrade until this is fixed as a -pre, or -ac.
Others who upgraded: as the first process hangs, it is better to restart the
machine, as you will get more very soon.

I know, but it used to happen daily on my box at home which was eventually caused by ram. And I make a linux-2.4.x-xfs tree during upgrades of the tree.
So I always have a few of those.


(Anyway, I thought this name is not really exists, only in City of Angels).
