just read up on my linux-kernel mail.

The scsi problem I have is a known issue is test8 because they seem to be 
busy reworking scsi

The IDE code is also broken in test8 with regard to bus mastering DMA.... 
shame shame shame.
I got a $600 drive and its slower then my old maxtor ;-(

They fixed some of those issues in test9-pre7.
The only problems you get VM deadlocks for it in return.
