I have a root filesystem that would have been made by the original
RedHat 7.1 Installer image. I know, it's old but I don't have a lot of
bandwidth. I've managed to get it running with:

[lloy0076@linux lloy0076]$ uname -a
Linux linux 2.4.18-SGI_XFS_1.1 #1 Wed Apr 17 11:18:22 CDT 2002 i686
unknown
[lloy0076@linux lloy0076]$ rpm -qa | grep xfs
XFree86-xfs-4.0.3-5
xfsprogs-devel-1.2.0-0
xfsdump-2.0.1-0
xfsprogs-2.0.3-0

However, when I build that Kernel or the 2.4.19-CVS kernel (from about 5
hours ago), I get:

"Kernel Panic. VFS unable to mount file system 03:02"
"Invalid Magic SB Number"

Can anyone suggest what I might do to provide more information about
this problem (or if it's an obvious one to everyone but me, what the
problem might be caused by)?
