I remember quite a while back the need to choose the "build firmware" on aic7xxx, and lots of kernel config headaches for the SGI people with regards to generated versus permanent files in the source tree. The FAQ still says build firmware is needed for aic7xxx, but somewhere I vaguely recall this might have changed. Is it still recommended or required to build firmware? Or is this no longer the case, with the FAQ being outdated? D. Stimits, stimits @ idcomm.com |
