Yep, DMAPI in 2.5 has not been built here - I am the only one building 
this tree and
I have it turned off. I suspect include linux/major.h in the file will 
fix this one.

This is a known problem, Linus just has not taken the fix yet, it will work
if you build it into the kernel.

In general, unless you are working on some 2.5 feature I would not 
recommend playing
with 2.5 yet, there are lots of devices which will probably be broken 
with the new block
layer interface. Random things will be broken for quite a while - it is 
likely to get
worse before it gets better I suspect.

Don't go anywhere near md and lvm for instance.
