This is a known problem, Linus just has not taken the fix yet, it will work if you build it into the kernel.
Hmm, ask on Linux kernel.
In general, unless you are working on some 2.5 feature I would not recommend playing with 2.5 yet, there are lots of devices which will probably be broken with the new block layer interface. Random things will be broken for quite a while - it is likely to get worse before it gets better I suspect. Don't go anywhere near md and lvm for instance. Thanks for the report though. Steve |
