I think we may have seen something similar when we were building some
kernel RPMs...
Russel - on our installer, we had one kernel that gave us the "initial
console" problem. You thought it was a DevFS problem, I swore up and
down that DevFS was turned off. I think you just recompiled the SRPM on
your box and the problem went away - so could it be compiler related?
