Also note that the way to get to the XFS format option is to do a
"custom" install - if you let the installer do everything for you, you
may never see the XFS option.

Choose "custom" and the XFS formatting option will show up after
partitioning, during the formatting dialog.

And if anyone knows why fork()ing python fails with the latest 2.4,
please do drop us a line.  :)
