I just got into playing with XFS. I have the same 'lockup' at IDE init
time. The -test5 (?) based RPM works fine, a clean -test11 boots, but
the -test11xfs freezes solid.
My system is an old ASUS P2B BX chipset board with an overclocked C566
in it. Ive got a Quantum FireBall, a ZIP drive and a pioneer DVD drive
on IDE. There is also an Adaptec
2940UW and Seagate barra drive as well, but at the lockup stage the SCSI
module for the
2940 hasnt been loaded.
Its a Redhat-7 system, I used 'kgcc' (egcs-2.91.66 19990314)
