Hello,
I had an XFS filesystem crash using 2.6.15.7 with sws2-2.2 and
CONFIG_REGPARM some week ago (not the one yesterday that was without
CONFIG_REGPARM). The kernel crashed down badly and the XFS formatted
debian root partition was so corrupted that I decided to restore a
backup. I did not report it since I was busy doing other stuff.
I thought this happened due to CONFIG_REGPARM being set... I am not so
sure anymore since I now had that bad crash with 2.6.15 without
CONFIG_REGPARM being set (see my last mails).
Now given that CONFIG_REGPARM defaults to being enabled with 2.6.17 I am
interested whether its safe to use with XFS. I do not use it currently to
be on the safe side.
