------- Additional Comments From ks@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx 2004-13-09 10:44 PDT -------
I tested on 3 machines with gentoo kernel 2.6.8-r3 and the results are
reproducible:
If the parameter "CONFIG_4KSTACKS" is set, the system freezes when an XFS FS is
filled up (on one machine I sometimes got a kernel panic message, too).
With "# CONFIG_4KSTACKS is not set" the system works like expected and sends a
"file system full" message :)
So in make menuconfig
Kernel hacking --->
Use 4Kb for kernel stacks instead of 8Kb
should not be aktivated until the bug is fixed, but I can live with that ;-)
Cheers and thanks for fast help
Klaus
