Hi, please have a look at the following bug report: http://bugzilla.atrpms.net/show_bug.cgi?id=73 getxattr returns I/O error when the NFS server is not serving EA/ACLs. Previous kernels return "not supported". The difference are XFS 1.3.0 patches and the nfs-acl patches.
