ive read the entire diff of 2.4.23 -> 2.4.24, see for yourself, its
VERY trivial stuff, XFS requires no changes.
summary:
* one line memset() calls sprinkled into all the rtc drivers
* two line code, 4 line comment addition to mremap.
* one liner fixes to debug printks in the irda driver.
thats all.

you can use 2.4.23 patches safely, don't worry.
