Until there is a patch for RHEL3, you could try the FC1 kernel at
ATrpms which only lacks the backported 2.6/ipsec, otherwise it has
been reported to work well on RHEL3.

As there will be a kernel errata for FC1 later today, you should wait
until new ATrpms are available, if you want to go that way.
